Branson, Missouri, home to over 100 shows, has joined the search for the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist! The Branson Elvis Festival has been licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. to host preliminary rounds of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Branson during the month of June culminating with the contest final round. The top 3 winners of the 50's, 60's and 70's era will compete on July 11th, 2007. ExSpence Account Showband (EAS) has signed on to be the official band of the preliminaries to the Ultimate Elvis Contest in Branson, MO. EAS is the official band with the Ultimate Elvis Festival. This new fest will quickly rise in the ranks as one of the TOP Elvis Festivals in the world.
The First Place Winner of the Branson Elvis Festival will advance to the Qualifying Rounds of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Contest™ to be held in Memphis during Elvis Week August 11-19, 2007. The top winners in each of the Memphis qualifying rounds will go on to compete in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Finals on August 17. The winner of this contest will receive the title of "The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist," along with official recognition by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., plus a cash prize of $5,000 and more.
Contestants will be judged on vocals, appearance, performance, stage presence and overall tribute to Elvis. A producer of Legends in Concert will be among the judges. All competitions will be held at the Legends Family Theater, 3216 West Hwy 76 in Branson. The Official Motel, chosen by Branson Elvis Festival, is Branson's Yellow Rose Motel. The motel is located at 3140 Falls Pkwy in Branson. A special room rate has been negotiated on behalf of contestants and spectators. Rooms for contestants must be reserved at time of registration.
