Planning an entire vacation to the Table Rock Lake area in Branson will soon be as easy as a few clicks on a mouse. The Table Rock Lake Area Chamber of Commerce recently contracted with ReserveDirect.com to make its chamber member services viewable online, enabling perspective visitors to book their reservations online.
All arrangements will be available by accessing the chamber’s Web site, www.visittablerocklake.com, or directly at www.reservetablerocklake.com beginning on Sunday.
“They’ll be able to go to our Web site and book their entire vacation,” said Holly Brown, marketing coordinator for the chamber. Visitors will be able to book boats, reserve rooms, as well as, buy tickets for shows and attractions.
“We are starting with 20 (businesses) right now,” Brown said, “and will grow to 125 when it’s all said and done.
"We are partnering with ReserveDirect.com partly in response to request from our members to increase exposure to potential visitors and capture immediate sales from those exposures,” said chamber President Cindy Morris.
ReserveDirect.com is an online booking engine that officials say will simplify the way future area visitors can book their vacations and will allow the chamber to make its site and brand it, according to Brown.
Branson’s chamber uses this reservation system, as well as such vacation destinations as Orlando, Fla., Eureka Springs, Ark., and Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
The site will be modeled after these highly successful Web sites that have brought in more than $10 million in tourism revenue to the Branson market alone, according to a release from the chamber.
“This is the wave of the future,” Brown said. “It’s all about convenience.”
