This week Mansion America Theatre, in conjunction with Word Entertainment, Nashville, Tennessee announced plans to bring the award winning musical, The Promise, back to Branson, Missouri in the spring of 2006.
“Although the story itself will always be the same, our goal is to create a production that will be awe-inspiring and spectacular,” according to Larry Wilhite, General Manager. “With a facility like Mansion America and the technical capabilities it offers, we believe the presentation of The Promise will continue to be a show that will be talked about, hopefully for another 2000 years.”
For the 2006 Season, The Promise will fill the 3pm time slot, while Celebrate America will continue to be the 8pm show.
Mansion America currently produces two popular shows, including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Celebrate America, a Broadway style show complete with period dancing and music that depicts over 200 years of our Country’s endurance and struggle for freedom.
“We have had a very successful 3 year run with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and are looking forward to our third season of Celebrate America in 2006,” Wilhite added.
According to Wilhite, casting for The Promise will not begin until November. “We have a very talented cast of dancers, actors and musicians. We will be casting the majority of the roles for The Promise from within our current cast.”
